Roger Padullés va començar els seus estudis musicals a l'escolania de Montserrat. Actualment és un dels barítons més sol·licitats en el panorama musical catalè i europeu.

Born in Sallent (Barcelona), Roger Padullés began his musical studies in the children’s choir Escolania de Montserrat. He worked several years as journalist before graduating from the conservatory in Freiburg, Germany. He trained at the Opera Studio of Strasbourg for two seasons.

Roger Padullés is the 1st Prize winner of the Anneliese Rothenberger Wettbewerb Singing Competition (2005), laureate of both the Concours International de mélodie Nadia et Lili Boulanger in Paris (2005), and 2nd Prize and the Placido Domingo Prize at Francisco Viñas International Singing Contest, Barcelona (2009).

He has performed in theaters as Opéra National du Rhin (Strassbourg), Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Real de Madrid, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Capitole de Toulouse, Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Theater Biel-Solothurn, Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, among others. He performed roles as Tamino in Zauberflöte, Arbace and Gran Sacerdote in Idomeneo, Nadir in Les pecheurs de perles, Edrisi in Krol Roger by Szymanowski, Harlekin in Der Kaiser von Atlantis, Tom Rakewell in The Rake’s progress, Werther in Werther, Don José in La tragédie de Carmen, Pong in Turandot, Steuermann in Der fliegende Holländer, Andres in Wozzeck, etc…

Recently he performed Tamino in Die Zauberflöte staged by Peter Brook (Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Seoul, Perth, Moscou, St. Petersburg, and Tokyo). He enjoys specially working with leading stage directors as Laurent Pelly, Dieter Kaegi, Christoph Marthaler, Àlex Ollé (La fura dels Baus) and, as mentioned, Peter Brook.

Roger Padullés is also known as a lied/oratorio specialist. He has sung the big Lied cicles and most known Oratorios in Europa and he has recently won some recording awards for his cd “Mompou songs” with the pianist Iain Burnside.
